Construction Overview – March 13, 2020
March 13, 2020
We have had a very successful week and would like to thank our neighbours and the local community for assisting us in our efforts.
This past week at 100 Dalhousie Street we started installing the concrete raft foundation and placed this project’s tower crane. This involved many concrete trucks, concrete pumps, pay duty officers, traffic control personnel, barrels, signs, barricades and the efforts of over 50 skilled individuals each day pouring, finishing, heating and curing concrete. The work and temporary street closures this month will allow the completion of the raft foundation and installation of the crane which in turn will assist us to move construction activity off the street and into a construction staging area separated from the street with hoarding similar to the hoarding in place on the other sides of our construction site.
For next week, we are planning the final installments of the raft foundation and are working towards the following tentative street closures: March 17; March 21; and March 24.
Entry of LOCAL TRAFFIC will be from Shuter Street. We request that pick-ups, drops offs and deliveries be directed to the circular drive at 88 Mutual Street, Terrace Building whenever possible.
Paid duty Officers at both ends of Dalhousie and trained traffic control persons will be on site to ensure safe truck movements, assist pedestrians and local traffic. Street Occupancy Permit and Extended Noise Bylaw Permit for the day will be in place.
If you have questions regarding construction activity please contact us at: construction.social@pembertongroup.com or call (905) 326-4100.
We thank you for your patience and cooperation.
