Construction Overview for Dec 12 – Dec 16, 2022
During Dec-12 and Dec-16, the Construction Team will continue with regular construction activities on the site while following the guidelines set out by Ontario’s Health officials and the Ministry of Labour’s recommendations.
North end concrete construction activities will continue. Construction crews will be completing walls from MPH to Roof. We are preparing for the amenities on the 11thFloor like Pool, Sauna, Gym, Games room, Yoga – Pilates. Interior suite finishes have also started on 3rd and up floors of both north buildings. We are also waterproofing outdoor amenities on 18th floor. Northwest hoist has been extended up to 30th floor and we are preparing to install a hoist on the northeast side.
North side glazing crews are continuing with the installation of metal panels and windows from 15th to 19th floors. Balcony posts have also begun on the north side. The link windows between the North and South buildings are being installed from 12th to 15th floors. Fan coils, standpipes and duct work in the north will continue to commence. Curtain wall is also under construction on the ground floor on the northwest side.
Civil works are being done around the perimeter of the buildings and we are installing the manholes and the associated pipe work. We are also chipping caisson walls as a part of landscape work around the east and south of the project.
On the South side, interior construction development and finishing is continuing to progress. We have done water proofing and placing ballast on MPH Roof on both south towers and we have also done the green roofs. We are also triggering lobbies and townhouses on the Ground and Level 1, as we approach to close the south buildings.
Window wall is complete on both south towers. The windows in the hoist suites of building D have almost been done as the hoist is down now. We are installing windows in the hoist on Building C to close the building before winter. Planter walls have been poured outside townhouses as a part of landscape work and we are preparing for the entrance stairs. Railing work will continue on both south towers.
During gate operations, flag people will control the gates to ensure pedestrians’ safety and minimize any impact on traffic.
