Construction Overview for Jan 09 – Jan 13, 2023
During Jan 09 and Jan 13, the Construction Team will continue with regular construction activities on the site while following the guidelines set out by Ontario’s Health officials and the Ministry of Labour’s recommendations.
North end concrete construction activities will continue. Construction crews will be completing walls from MPH to Roof. We are preparing for the various amenities on the 11th Floor and are waterproofing the floor. Interior suite finishes have also started on 3rd and up floors of both north buildings. We are preparing to install a hoist on the northeast side that will also go up to 30th Floor.
North side glazing crews are continuing with the installation of metal panels and windows from 15th to 19th floors. Balcony posts have also begun on the north side. The link windows between the North and South buildings are almost completed up to the 19th floor. Fan coils, standpipes and duct work in the north will continue to commence. Curtain wall is also under construction on the ground floor on the west and north side.
Civil works are being done around the perimeter of the buildings and we are installing the manholes and the associated pipe work. We are also chipping caisson walls and backfilling with recommended soil as a part of landscape work around the east and south of the project.
On the South side, interior construction development and finishing is continuing to progress. We are also triggering lobbies and townhouses on the Ground and Level 1, as we approach to close the south buildings. Window wall is complete on both south towers. The windows in the hoist suites of building D have been done as the hoist is down now. We are installing windows in the hoist on Building C to close the hoist units. Railing work will continue on both the south towers.
During gate operations, flag people will control the gates to ensure pedestrians’ safety and minimize any impact on traffic.
